Ove noći dodeljivane su najvažnije filmske i TV nagrade u Britaniji – BAFTA.
Ceremonija se tradicionalno održava u “Rojal Albert holu” a čini je krem de la krem holivudskih i evropskih umetnika.
Naravno, neizbežne su i zvanice iz reda kraljevske porodice, međutim niko nije očekivao da će Kejt Midlton toliko dobro da izgleda na crvenom tepihu, ali i da jednim detaljem pokrene lavinu komentara na društvenim mrežama.
Sve su oči bile uprte u “Džokera” koji je imao čak 11 nominacija, a sledili su ga “Irac” i “Bilo jednom u… Holivudu”, ipak “1917” je opet izdominirao sa sedam dobijenih nagrada.
