Launched in 1982 in Sausalito, California, the publishing house is dedicated to printing innovative and experimental literary works. In her artistic practice, Fattal’s oeuvre encompasses sculptures, ceramics, collages and paintings. Izgled bašte je osmislio francuski orijentalista Žak Mažorel, tokom perioda od skoro četrdeset godina, piše Travel Magazine.

Davne 1923. godine Žak je kupio plac koji je nastavio da razvija godinama, gradeći na parceli i kuću u mavarskom stilu za sebe i suprugu.

Pošto mu se mavarska kuća na kraju nije dopala, početkom 1930. godine angažovao je arhitektu Pola Sinjora, da je zameni zgradom u potpuno kubanskom stilu, sve sa plavom fasadom koja je postala simbol vrta.

Mažorel je potom pažljivo počeo da uzgaja 135 biljnih vrsta sa pet kontinenata, pretvarajući imanje u očaravajuću baštu.

She retired from a permanent teaching position in the late 1970s and now devotes herself to her art and writing. A powerful voice in feminist and antiwar movements, Adnan has published several works of poetry and fiction, including “Sitt Marie Rose” (1978), “The Arab Apocalypse” (1989) and “Master of the Eclipse” (2009). Četiri godine nakon smrti Mažorela, modni dizajner Iv Sen-Loran  je posetio Vrt Mažorel i odmah se zaljubio u ovu baštu.

Kada je saznao za planove detoniranja celog mesta i pretvaranja u hotelski kompleks, odlučio je da kupi ceo plac i obnovi ga.

Takođe je dodao još 165 biljnih vrsta, instalirao automatski sistem za navodnjavanje i zaposlio tim od 20 vrtlara.
